Yosep Sinudarsono Launches the Chinese Philosophy Collection at The Mulia Bali Resort last weekend. The young designer launched his latest fashion collection, Yosep Sinudarsono Prive. With the theme of Chinese Philosophy, Joseph celebrates the turn of the new year into a year full of luck and also as a part of The Mulia’s Chinese New Year Fesitivy.

The Chinese Philosophy collection consists of 35 outfits with different details, materials and colours and has their own significance in Chinese culture. Such as the dominance of the colours Red, Yellow, Gold, and Silver in this collection that is believed by Chinese culture can bring happiness and luck.

As for details, Yosep chose to use the Koi Fish as a symbol of good luck, the Dragon as a symbol of strength, the Phoenix Bird as a symbol of eternity, or the Lily Flower which is interpreted with virtue or purity. All details are arranged by handmade embroidery and hand beading with a sprinkling of Swarovski Crystal decoration.

One interesting element in Yosep Sinudarsono’s collection this time is the use of material that is not only in the form of Satin or Lace, but there are also combinations with striated fabrics from Yogyakarta. This striated fabric combination is used by Yosep to emphasize the cutting part so that the body lines of the user become more elegant but still fashionable. “I want to present to the public that the original Indonesian fabric is very flexible and can also be used for Chinese or Chinese-themed clothing,” Yosep Sinudarsono said at the opening of the launch of his latest collection at The Mulia Hotel, Bali.

The Yosep Sinudarsono Prive Clothing Collection with the theme of Chinese Philosophy was first launched in Jakarta earlier this week. Bali is the only city in Eastern Indonesia which is the launch site for this collection. After Jakarta and Bali, this Yosep Sinudarsono Prive collection will be displayed in private shows in Singapore and Malaysia.
