Born from a creative partnership between George Gorrow, Rieky Sunur and SRF, The Slow will soon birth their sequel of Canggu Boutique Hotel, this time taking on their acclaimed tropical modernist architecture on the magnificent Uluwatu.

The Bukit Peninsula area of Uluwatu is a burgeoning haven for wave chasers and solitude seekers, with white sands, shallow reefs and reliable swell. Those are the reasons for the spot to be chosen as The Slow’s next adventurous destination. Promising it not to be the ‘Carbon Copy’ of the Canggu establishment, The Slow Uluwatu will signify the next chapter for the revered hotel. Set on a cliff, surrounded by trees and neighboring one of the island’s most acclaimed reef breaks, the luxury sanctuary will maintain The Slow’s enthusiasm for design and embrace the modernist approach of traditional hotel experience, initiated by its founder George Gorrow (of Ksubi Fame).

The Slow Uluwatu, will be another creation of the award-winning duo, George and talented local architect, Rieky Sunur. This project will also marks the first collaboration between George and SRF World Pte Ltd.; a Singaporean company which boasts impressive portfolio of invested interests; including diverse sustainability in the field of renewable fuels, waste management and fashion.

Expect the same sleek, ‘brutal’ design that has defines The Slow Canggu

Expect the same ‘brutal’ aesthetic that come to define The Slow Canggu, with strong use of industrial materials softened by natural elements and ample greenery. The same focus on sustainability will also remain, with the design hosting abundance of local materials; limestone structure, recycled timber screens, bamboo furnishings to solar power, adorned by personal collection of George and his wife, Cisco.

Stepping up all aspects of its Canggu original, The Slow Uluwatu will boasts intimate suites accompanied by uninterrupted views of Ocean and sunset, cozy sun terrace and olympic-sized infinity pool, complete with direct access to white sandy beach below. There will of course be an adjoining open kitchen restaurant and a bar which serves artisanal pre-batch spirits, extractions, tonic and creative cocktails. This thrilling project will be done by Easter 2021, so stay tune for more exciting news!
