Marriott International launches the first Element Hotel in Indonesia on March 23, 2020, with the opening of Element by Westin Bali Ubud. Situated among lush greenery and calm surroundings, the smoke-free, eco-friendly resort provides guests with a home away from home, with selections of healthy food and activities to keep them active, energized and balanced. Element by Westin Bali Ubud gives guests the space to “stay in their element” whether they’re staying for a couple of days or a couple of months in the cultural capital of Bali Bali.

Designed with natural light and clever use of space, all 152 rooms make a true holiday home for guests to rest and relax, each with the Signature Heavenly® Bed, spa-inspired bathrooms, and a private balcony that opens out to inspired views and a breath of fresh air. The Deluxe Room is splendid for single travelers and honeymooners with a variety of beddings to choose from. The Deluxe Family Room is designed to make traveling with family a whole lot easier, with more space to accommodate an additional bed when necessary. Guests who seek extra space have the choice between the Punyan Suite with an open living room or the Puri Penthouse that features a separate bedroom, living room, and a dining area.

The resort’s culinary offerings are a reflection of the focus on wellness at the property. All-day dining venue Andong Teras presents wholesome breakfast to start the day and energizing food and drinks throughout lunch and dinner. Every dish is freshly made using quality produce sourced from the resort’s onsite garden and combined with fresh ingredients sourced from local markets across Bali and Indonesia. Sample a selection of elevated Balinese authentic delicacies, from Gerage Palem – shrimps marinated with the chef’s secret spices to Bebek betutu masisit urap paku — steamed roast duck braised in duck broth. This is an ideal place to enjoy an excellent farm-to-table dining experience, interact with chefs through the smartly designed open kitchen and enjoy relaxing views of the pool.

Element by Westin Bali Ubud celebrates the first Element Hotel to offer a tailored spa experience at the PancaMaya Wellness. Indulge in selections of beauty rituals with spa products that are created in-house at the Herbology table using natural ingredients. Guests can enjoy a total rejuvenation with a nourishing facial treatment using fresh cucumber juice, virgin coconut oil and candlenut base. This holistic sanctuary also presents an integrated wellness program where guests can consult with a nutritionist on vitality, weight management and detox programs. Everything is thoughtfully crafted for ultimate relaxation.

Boasting an inspiring view of the greenery, Kintamani meeting room is equipped for meetings and events of all sizes, with an all-in-one connectivity station that connects audio, video and computer devices to a big screen. Floor-to-ceiling windows give way to natural lighting and modular furnishings add a warm and creative touch to the space. The 170-square-meter space is ideal for a banquet dinner with up to 80 people. Stay active and energized by taking a swim in the brand’s signature saline pool, or simply unwind and soak in the sun with a refreshing drink from the pool bar. A well- equipped fitness room is open 24/7 to keep guests on track with their healthy routine

with the use of state-of-the-art “LifeFitness” machines. The resort also invites guests to keep their balance through fitness programming including morning meditation along with sunrise, sunset and full moon yoga sessions. Ubud is popularly known as the center of art in Bali where traditional culture blends with modern life. At Element by Westin Bali Ubud, both adults and kids can immerse in Balinese culture through fun activities such as Balinese dance classes or learning how to make canang sari (Balinese Hindu offerings). Excursions can also be arranged to explore the nearby chocolate factory and winery, as well as a visit to the Blanco Museum. The best way to explore Ubud is by bike, and with Element Hotels’ complimentary Bikes to Borrow program, guests can easily cycle to visit popular attractions like the King’s Palace and the Monkey Forest, shop for local arts and crafts in downtown Ubud, discover rice paddy fields and encounter authentic Balinese ceremonies and lively street processions.

“Bali continues to be an important travel destination for international travelers, who flock to the island paradise for its beaches, history and charming local culture. Whether travelers are looking for a resort setting for a romantic holiday, a friends getaway or for a multi-generational family trip, Element by Westin Bali Ubud offers guests a way to balance mind, body and spirit, and authentic experiences that provide meaningful connections with each other and the local community,” said Mike Fulkerson, Vice President, Brand and Marketing Asia-Pacific, Marriott International.
