Renowned in Seminyak for its exceptional dining offerings, The Legian’s culinary venue The Restaurant brings their best for this year’s festive season. Guests can enjoy some of the finest cuisine in the area over the course of Christmas and New Year. Each menu has been specially curated by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Stephane Gortina, showcasing a contemporary cuisine with a twist of Asian flavors and a focus on local, organic and sustainable ingredients.
Dining experiences on offer include a six-course dinner with a live violin performance and Christmas carols on Christmas Eve. Speciality dishes include; King prawn and chestnut bisque, Steamed barramundi with sturia caviar and French duck and young beetroot in a ‘dolce-forte’ sauce as well as vegetarian options such as Truffled potato gnocchi, Chestnut velouté and Black quinoa with locally grown vegetables.
On the Christmas Day, guests can return to The Restaurant with their beloved ones and enjoy a sun-soaked three-course lunch accompanied by a live jazz band and panoramic views of the iconic three-tiered swimming pool and the legendary Seminyak Beach below. In the evening, groups can indulge in a six-course dinner to the sound of a live pianist playing all the Christmas classics. Courses include Mud crab and sturia caviar with saffron jelly, Grilled Hokkaido scallops and Pan seared red snapper with pumpkin and black truffle.
A vibrant Seafood Grill is available at The Ocean Champagne Bar on 27 December, offering the ocean’s freshest produce including lobster, prawns and a variety of grilled fish whilst Balinese Rindik musical performances light up the evening. On the 29 December, guests will have the opportunity to celebrate the festive season in true Indonesian style with a traditional Indonesian Rijsttafel feast, accompanied by a live Balinese show. Dishes include Gado Gado – vegetable and tofu salad with peanut sauce, Ayam Balado – grilled chicken leg with tomatoes, lime and chilli and Pepes Ikan – snapper, tomatoes and coriander cooked in a banana leaf.
Those spending New Year’s Eve at The Legian Seminyak can enjoy the elegant Bronze Party, involving a delicious feast by the beach followed by a live jazz performance by Eva Scolaro and a DJ set for guests to dance 2019 away under the stars. On New Year’s Day, guests can recover with a glorious three-course lunch by the ocean.
