Proven as a highly effective grass roots organisation that facilitates and promote the delivery of education to underprivileged and deeply disadvantaged children, Stella’s Child (Yayasan Stella Anak) will develop a brand-new community center in Canggu to support their program and services through a crowdfunding campaign.

Founded in 2013 by Timothy J. Cameron and team, Stella’s Child exists to support Indonesian youths from deeply disadvantaged backgrounds as they prepare to leave children’s homes and orphanages and enter the world of work. Their innovative, interlinked programs provide the life skills, real-world business experience and employment connections necessary to access job opportunities they would otherwise be denied.

Youth enrolled in these programs have access to an international team of mentors and advisors, including Indonesian youth leaders who provide youth with not just skills development across the technical, business and social intelligence spheres but real-life practical experience including individual and group projects, employment opportunities, community leadership training and access to additional family services to assist their families during their program cycles.

Timothy 'Tim' J. Cameron, Founder and Executive Director of Stella's Child

Over the last seven years, Stella’s Child has seen their family of Indonesian youth swell dramatically from just a handful of children to now over 300 youths all working towards a brighter future. A new community centre is required in order to continue, and the foundation are currently developing a plan to establish their brand new community center facility at the heart of Canggu. The location selected will provide direct access to 40-60 families living in the village PLUS after school programs for hundreds of elementary through high school students that will be within walking distance to the new location.

To make this amazing dream into reality, Stella’s Child has gain aid from several prominent names in Bali, such as Studio Tana who are donating their architectural services to the program, ConstructBali who has agreed to donate certain supplies and build the facility at cost and Geonet who has donated their precious time for the development and management of Stella’s Child Community Center online digital marketing campaign, but they definitely still needs help and thats where we can come in.

By donating a small amount of money through this LINK (starting from U$ 10), you can directly help Stella’s Child to fulfill a lot more underprivileged children to catch their dream and make a living in the future. For a certain amount of donation, you will also receive a token of appreciation from the foundation; ranging from thank you note, plaques, to naming / branding rights to one of their Community Center rooms.

Finding a job is challenging in any culture, but with the programs at Stella’s Child see Indonesian youths making great strides in developing their skills, self-confidence, and abilities consequently making them more employable. The foundation strive towards protecting the youth of Indonesia. Helping to create unique leaders and global citizens – ready to make impact in their communities and beyond.
