From the masterminds behind Fishbone Local comes Mason, the freshest new joint in Canggu. This new restaurant is the latest addition to Canggu’s ever-growing beachside neighborhood. Mason offers a unique dining experience utilizing carefully sourced ingredients to present tantalizing home-made dishes from scratch.
Mason is the latest offspring of Brett Hospitality Group and is owned by Dominique Brett, Isabella Rowell, Brant Bauer and Ben Cross; they have recruited Australian Chef Nathan Sasi to spearhead in crafting an innovative menu. With years of mastering his skills, Chef Nathan Sasi uses a direct approach to cooking and discovering old techniques of pickling, curing and fermenting, whilst perfecting classic techniques such as cheese-making and whole-animal butchery. He utilizes his artisanal skills to craft a menu from the ground up just like a masonry. With locally and organically sourced materials, Chef Nathan Sasi applies timeless cooking methods such as smoking and wood-fire grilling to give an apex of flavor using very little ingredients as possible.
Feast your eyes upon a wide variety of delecatble dishes served at Mason. The menu has been meticulously crafted to offer guests an innovative and diverse line-up of delicacies. Stop by for lunch at Mason and try out the appetizing snacks such as the wood-fired flat bread with taramasalata or brown butter and chilli-spiked hummus, the snapper crocquetters served with tangy lemon mayonnaise, a selection of home-made cheeses and meats such as wagyu beef pastrami, truffled mortadella and Catalan-style chorizo.
For dinner, Mason offers guests a heftier selection of appetizers such as the mouthwatering spiced calamari with romesco and radicchio or fried cauliflower paired with pine nuts and pomegranate. Mason is beautifully designed in a chic minimalist space applying concrete, stone, steel and wood to present a laid-back elegance with the open kitchen as its centerpiece. The bar is crafted using hand-chiseled concrete for a fine addition for guests to have a cocktail or two. The open-air courtyard is charmingly designed to present guests a corner to have glass of cold beer, their fine selection of wine or an array of classic cocktails.
