Big news for the little island of Nusa Penida, as a new eco-resort is ready to open in a few months.

World-class hospitality group Swiss-Belhotel International is in the last stages of opening their latest venture in luxury resorts. Located in Bali’s little sister, Nusa Penida, the eco-luxurious resort is designed for a calm, peaceful, and relaxing ambiance. Named Maua, the complex will feature 25 villas offering the perfect setting for forging a connection to the beauty, romance, nature, and island lifestyle. In their own words, it is a state of togetherness and the willingness to strengthen their commitment to the environment.

MAUA creates a range of amenities for ultimate relaxation, including spacious villas with wide-open windows that give way to a private pool and magnificent views of Gamat Bay, Mount Agung on the horizon. Whether it’s one or two bedrooms, some villas even have a small private garden overlooking the Ceningan Channel. As for dining options, the resort has Kowhai Restaurant and Aroha Bar, designed for casual dining overlooking a picturesque hill, swimming pool, and of course the bay. The all-day dining restaurant provides indoor and al fresco seating options, while the bar is a perfect spot for grabbing meals and sipping tropical drinks throughout the day.

As any other island resort, Maua also has an abundance of programs for true island visitors. From snorkeling, diving, a sunset or sunrise journey on a traditional boat, or just exploring the island’s many spotless beaches. To be honest, this all feels like a brochure. We just can’t wait to experience the beauty of Maua soon.
