Art Bali Brings Together Art and the Community

Creating a bridge between art and the community.

From 10 October 2018 until 10 November 2018 Art Bali held an art exhibition at the AB●BC (Art Bali ● Bali Collection) venue. Heri Pemad, CEO and Founder of Art Bali, stated, “Art Bali will be a new space to accommodate creative potentials in Indonesia, especially in Bali, and bring them to a wider audience, so Art Bali can develop a better art ecosystem.”

Since there were several other events such as the IMF convention and the World Conference on Creative Economy there were a lot of international visitors in Bali. This helped to increase the awareness and attendance of Art Bali. It also brought a lot of officials to the AB●BC venue and created awareness for contemporary art on a higher level.

Art Bali is focused on creating a bridge between the community and contemporary art, not only through Art Bali curatorial tour but also by giving free entrance to the exhibition on Tuesdays for everyone who owns Balinese ID and student cards, the promotion is activated to get more locals involved in contemporary art. The promotion was a huge success and managed to attract 2000 excited locals who came to visit the exhibition.

Art Bali was well received by the attendants including collectors, gallery owners, art consultants, art patrons, curators, and artists. These important visitors are helping to encourage contemporary art in Bali. Art Bali is trying to create more possibilities for local artists in Bali and now thanks to the AB●BC venue it is possible for Balinese artists to exhibit their work.

The AB●BC building was built with support from the government not just for Art Bali but to provide a space that supports art and cultural actors in showcasing their talents and creations. The AB●BC building is available for all sorts of art namely; visual art, theater, art performances, film, fashion and many more. The long-term goal is to give positive impacts for the ecosystem of art and creative economy.

The next event is planned the 15 December 2018 with a theme of “Celebration of the Future” and will also be held at the AB●BC venue.
