Yes. Finally. Can we all say: hallelujah? Louder?

Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport is finally set to open this month – specifically October 14th. Officially announced by Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, the statement was shared with the press this Monday, October 4th.

Obviously, the opening will comes with the necessary regulations – from vaccine certificates, testing and quarantine plans. “All incoming tourists must show proof of their quarantine accomodation hotel bookings for the required eight days,” Luhut added.

Indonesia’s prolonged large scale social restrictions has been extended yet again until October 18th. Bali is still included within the ruling, even though it has been lowered to level 2 – making it the reason for visitors to enter the island.

In general, Indonesia has seen a record low number of new cases, as well as declining in COVID related deaths. The government is ready to distribute more than two million vaccines nationwide as well.
