Grand Hyatt Bali Host COVID-19 Vaccination Drive For Nusa Dua’s Hospitality Workers

Grand Hyatt Bali in cooperation with BIMC Hospital are holding a Covid-19 vaccination drive for hospitality workers. This program is done as a part of larger project by The Indonesian Ministry of Health, The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, together with The Bali Provincial Government, Badung District Government, Bali Tourism Board, and Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).

Held from 22 to 30 March 2021, The vaccination drive is simultaneously launched in three districts, Badung, Gianyar and Denpasar. Grand Hyatt Bali will be the center of the drive in the Nusa Dua area. The Public Health Office of Badung has prepared eight teams comprising 48 medical workers to support the vaccination drive.

“We are so excited to support and be part of this vaccination drive, and we are confident this will lead to a renewed spirit for the hospitality industry and the people of Bali in general.” said Marco Groten, the General Manager of Grand Hyatt Bali. “This vaccination drive will be the start of reviving Bali’s tourism industry, for which the island is known. We look forward to welcoming back guests from all parts of the world, getting our team back to work and supporting Bali’s economy and livelihood.” He concluded.

Approximately 8,671 ITDC hospitality workers are expected to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine, with the target of inoculating 1,000 people per day, including ITDC employees, hotel employees and tenants, security, cleaning and transportation service personnel. One more steps towards restoration!
