For their starters, Mama San serves wonderful selections of tantalizing small-portion dishes to engage your appetite. Try their Prawn Siew Mai for a memorable oriental goodness, served with Tobiko and Chilli Sauce. Then, for some time a little bit heavier, the Signature Crispy Pork Belly will treat your palate with a scrumptious taste of crunchy-juicy pork belly, glazed with tamarind sauce and Szechuan chilli salt. If you crave for rather unique bites, order the Popcorn Shrimp for a unique appetizer in the form of crispy, spicy shrimps served along Japanese Togarashi spice and smoked chilli mayo.
The main menu of Mama San is a celebration of diversity of SouthEast Asia through delectable, upscale culinary creation; you can try Indonesian-inspired Crispy Gourami Fish, deep-fried and served whole with kaffir lime, ginger, holy basil, sweet chilli and tamarind sauce on side, or Dengdeng Balado, a wonderful plate of caramelized Wagyu beef cheek with green mango salad, lemongrass, kaffir lime, chilli & lemon basil.. Another one worth trying is the Indian signature Butter Chicken with delicious thick sauce made from cashew nut, ginger, garam masala, kasoori methi and tomato sauce. This one is served along crispy, freshly-cooked tasty naan bread.
To accompany your meal, try some of Mama San’s wonderful selections of crafted cocktails, such as Coconut Mojito. A brilliant concoction made from a combination of rum, coconut water, syrup, mint and citrus for a sweet-meet-sour refreshing goodness. They also added huge chunks of sweet and crispy sugar-glazed burnt coconut flakes on top of a drink for a wonderful extra flavor.
Then to wrap up the whole feast wonderfully, you can try the gorgeously sweet Pavlova, made of crispy meringue with a fine mixture of mango mousse, passion fruit coulis, mixed berries on top. Break the crunchy meringue to discover a scoop of coconut ice cream inside. Or you can also try their deep-fried ice cream with Nutella, which basically contains the same coconut ice cream inside, but replaces the merengue outer layer with deep fried batter, with a generous portion of Nutella jam beneath. Splendidly done!
