Black Perigord Truffle Dinner at Mozaic Restaurant

Mozaic Gastronomique Restaurant is taking a part in a worldwide festivity to celebrate French gastronomy or Gout de France. With more than 3000 top chefs participating in five continents, Chef-Owner Chris Salans has specially created a one-night-only menu that features the creme-de-la-cremeingredient in the haute cuisineworld, black truffles.

Dubbed as ‘Diamonds of Gastronomy’, truffles are a type of fungi that grow underground among the roots of certain trees in certain types of soil. There are white and black truffles, and they are as different as night and day. Black truffle grows with the oak and hazelnut trees in the Perigord region in France, thus giving you a subtle nutty flavor.

This Black Truffle Dinner will be held on March 21, 2019, at Mozaic Gastronomique Restaurant in Ubud. Chef Salans, whose special genius is marrying Indonesian flavors and luxurious imported ingredients with French culinary techniques, has specially prepared a menu that explores the range of black truffles; from amuse bouche to dessert. Each course will incorporate truffles in a rich and surprising way, with pairings of fine Frech Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines. The truffles will be imported from France in March near the end of their season to reassure that they will be mature and full of flavor.

Perched high above the beautiful limestone cliffs of Uluwatu and within the prominent OMNIA Dayclub, lies the astonishing Sake no Hana Bali restaurant, which has just recently announced its first (of many) exclusive culinary event of the year, "One Kitchen, Two Chefs", to be held on Thursday, 30 August 2018. 

An extraordinary collaboration between the profoundly renowned chefs behind Sake no Hana Bali, Chef Hideki and the newly appointed Executive Chef Hendry, One Kitchen, Two Chefs is destined to be a night you won't want to miss. Merging their geographical and generational gap in perfect symphony, these two masterful chefs have crafted an exquisite menu that will surely satisfy guests and leave them wanting for more. 

Starting off with a cocktail reception on the Grand Staircase at 8pm, guests will be served superb sake cocktails before being led upstairs to, what will be, an exceptional dinner experience. Several of the significant dishes that you must try include the buttery "Kagoshima" Wagyu Beef Striploin, a dish that will melt in your mouth, complemented by a zesty yuzu aioli and smoked vegetables, the "Kyushu" Hamachi Namawasabi, which features fresh Hamachi tuna dressed with truffle pepper ponzu, fresh wasabi and delicate truffle, and for Japanese culinary enthusiasts, try the five signature rolls that are available in the Gohan Sushi Experience.
