Occupying an ample space on ever-lively Petitenget’s Main Street, Fika brings a quaint yet warmly inviting ambience to chill, relax and enjoy good comfort food with your closest companion.
After taking the Kayu Cendana street in Seminyak by storm with renowned dining destinations such as Sisterfields, BO$$MAN and Bikini, hospitality and lifestyle group 8 Degree Projects introduces their latest endeavor in form of Fika Bali.
The restaurant’s simple yet catchy moniker comes from Swedish words which can be translated to ‘slow down over coffee and food’; and that’s the exact atmosphere that you will feel once entering the restaurant entrance. The elegant-white-meets-refreshing-olive-green design of Fika’s interior mimics the finesse and simplicity of the menu. Simple and sleek, yet at the same time incredibly comfy and homey; perfect to cater friends or family who just wish to feast and enjoy their togetherness in utmost comfort.
Speaking of ‘comfort’, Fika’s core philosophy is reflected well through its simple yet effective menus. Focusing on real and clean food, the restaurant’s culinary team believes in quality, unpretentious dishes without unnecessary garnishes. Carrying ‘honest kitchen’ concept, the all-day brunch menu of Fika revolves around fresh, locally-sourced ingredients combined with international influences.
For a starter, try the Grilled Halloumi; which combines the goodness of robust halloumi goat cheese with oregano, smoked rhum and honey glaze for a combination of sweet, salty and creamy goodness. Or you can order their Ham Croquettes; deep-fried into perfection with tasty ham chops and creamy cheese inside. Then, moving on to main menu, salad lovers should have a portion of Fika’s Kipler Potato and Salmon Salad, which as the name implies, blends tender baby kipler potatoes, buttermilk, smoked salmon chunks, curried eggs, crispy kale, tobiko and dashes of parsley oil to complement the whole healthy delight. If you are craving for a big course, don’t miss their Dirty Burger 2.0, which blends 140g aged beef patty; gruyere custard, pickles, tomato dressing, soft brioche buns and French fries as trusty side. First-timer should not miss Fika’s Truffle Scramble Eggs, which consist creamy scramble egg, mushroom duxelle and crispy prosciutto for an exquisite take of classic breakfast goodness, best savored with crunchy buttered sourdough on side. Embracing their ‘DIY’ approach, some of Fika’s main ingredients; namely buttermilk, butter and ricotta are homemade, so expect a distinctive flavor that you would not find everywhere else!
To complement your comfort dine, a glass of Fika’s Power Up juice is a recommended take; perfect combination of avocado, banana, matcha, honey, soy milk and dates to boost your mood and quench your thirst. And before the feast end, wrap it up with a portion of their super-delicious Chocolate Tart; served with coconut sorbet and chocolate soil crumble. Yummy!
