Highlighting their intricate interior concept, Bisma Eight is an artisan hotel which brilliantly incorporating eloquent Japanese elements with timeless Balinese traditional architecture on a verdant, secluded area of Ubud

At Bisma Eight, modern aesthetics play in seamless harmony with the natural beauty of central Bali; it honors both and detracts from neither. Principally designed by Ketut Arthana of Arte Architect Bali, Bisma Eight architecture aims to invoke monolithic style of pre-cast concrete era popularized by Japanese legendary architectural maestro Tadao Ando; shying away from the usual brick or plaster materials. This sustainable approach works wonders in conveying elegant vibe for guests staying in one of their 38 stylish suites.

The rooms of Bisma Eight are varied into three main types; Garden, Canopy and Forest Suites; differed by the availability of balcony, terrace and both. All lodgings are meticulously designed to induce the sensation of a dreamy hideout. Featuring a mix of modern design and traditional Balinese craftsmanship, these artisanal touches are present in everything; from the contemporary teak wood furniture, to softer furnishings such as the ‘ikat’ pillows, plush bed linen, and woven jute rugs.

All Bisma Eight suites feature generous living and sleeping areas partitioned for privacy by Sungkai wood panels. The rooms are steeped in natural light in the day, transforming into gently illuminated, restful cocoons at night. Its outdoor seating spots are quiet spaces of intimacy and refuge accompanied by natural soundtrack of the nearby forest. Japanese-inspired soaking tub made of Canadian aromatic cedar wood become the highlight of each rooms; the first of its kind in Bali, offers a rejuvenating deep soak especially when coupled with Bisma Eight’s house bath salts.

Bisma Eight have several state-of-the-art in-house facilities to enhance the guest’s intimate staying experience. Overlooking an unfolding view of Batu Karu Mountain sits the rooftop infinity pool. An island-inspired lounge area, the Pool Pavilion features a modern tropical bar, as well as one of Ubud’s few high-end properties with temperature-controlled pool, to accommodate the island’s midyear cooler climates. For those who wish for a private reading moment, The Library is a venue which combines the (titular) functional library with cozy café. Dubbed as ‘Folk Blend’, the coffee beans at The Library are exclusively roasted by Seniman Coffee’s ‘Tetap Happy’ Roaster.

Catering to the guest’s needs of top-notch culinary treat, Bisma Eight’s signature Copper Kitchen, Bar & Rooftop; one and only rooftop restaurant in Ubud serving an all-day contemporary cuisine venue that has an unmistakably old-world charm to it. All foods and drinks are made from fresh ingredients; some directly sourced from the hotel’s very own private garden initiative run by a farm cooperative act.
