On Sunday, 29th November 2020, five prolific chefs from different Marriott properties in Bali teamed up at Double Ikat Restaurant of Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa in an event called ‘4 island 1 night’; taking all the lucky guest to a “spice journey” with menus inspired by Indonesian rich archipelago.
Welcoming the end of November with a shout, Renaissance Bali’s Double Ikat Restaurant brought together 4 talented local chefs from other Marriott properties to collaborate with their very own chef, bringing out an 8-course tasting menu from different regions of Indonesia; from Sumatra, Java, Bali and Sulawesi.
The attending guest are very satisfied with the brilliant indigenous dishes, such as Manadonese Ikan Bakar Sambal Roa (Grilled fish with ‘roa’ sambal sauce) or West Java’s Tahu Gejrot Cirebon (Fried tofu with peanut sauce), all made with authentic, fresh ingredients and served in gorgeous, world-class plating; pampering both eyes and palate alike.
Located just by the infinity pool overlooking the scenic horizon beyond, all of Double Ikat’s dishes are rooted in nature and, where possible, feature the finest locally sourced ingredients to ensure freshness and quality. Known for its Indonesian new age dining approach, delectable cuisine offerings, attentive service and capturing ambience, the upscale restaurant is not only a place for couple, but now even more so ideal for family gatherings or just simple get-togethers.
